Renewal of general and non-practising registration is only online.
Log into online service from the Ahpra registration renewal page or via the email reminders Ahpra sends out six to eight weeks before your registration is due. Look out for the email reminders as confirmation that online renewal is open.
If you do not renew your general or non-practising registration by 31 May each year, or within the following one month late period, your registration will lapse and your name will be removed from the national register of practitioners.
We no longer send hardcopy forms in the mail.
We will send you an email reminding you to renew three to four months before your registration expires.
To renew your provisional registration, download the relevant form from the Ahpra provisional and limited registration page, complete it and send it back to us online.
If you are currently registered as an enrolled nurse and are due to complete or have completed an Australian-approved program of study that will qualify you for registration as a registered nurse or midwife, you can apply for registration online via our online services portal.
Applicants and registrants can now send applications, forms and supporting documents to Ahpra online instead of sending us these documents via hardcopy mail. See Online Upload.
For all other registration types please use the following downloadable forms for the nursing and midwifery professions.
