Call for applications from community members to the New South Wales Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) supports the 14 National Health Profession Boards in their primary role of protecting the public. AHPRA manages the registration and notification handling processes for health practitioners and students across Australia.

State, territory and regional boards exercise their functions in the jurisdiction to provide an effective and timely local response to health practitioners and other persons.

Applications are sought from interested persons in New South Wales to fill a community member vacancy on the New South Wales Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

To be eligible for a community member vacancy you must not at any time have been registered as a health practitioner in the health profession for which the National Board is established.

New South Wales Board appointments are made by the New South Wales Minister for Health under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory. Appointments are for up to three years, with eligibility for reappointment, and are expected to commence in mid 2016.

For more information on the role and the application process, please download the application guide and application forms below.
