Applications are now sought for health practitioners and community members from various states and territories to fill board member vacancies.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) supports the 14 National Health Profession Boards in their primary role of protecting the public. AHPRA manages the registration and notification handling processes for health practitioners and students across Australia.

State, territory and regional boards exercise their functions in the jurisdiction to provide an effective and timely local response to health practitioners and other persons.

Applications are now sought for health practitioners and community members from these states and territories to fill the following vacancies:

Northern Territory Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

• community member 
• registered nurse members (2)
• registered nurse and midwife member

Queensland Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

• registered nurse members (2)
• registered nurse and midwife member

South Australian Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

• community members (3)
• practitioner members (2)

Tasmanian Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

• registered midwife member

Victorian Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

• registered nurse and midwife member
• registered nurse member
• enrolled nurse member

Board appointments are made by the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australian, Tasmanian and Victorian Minister for Health under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act. These appointments are for up to three years, with eligibility for reappointment.

Your application will be assessed by a Selection Advisory Panel for appointable positions.
