Request for tender: Requirements for assessing internationally qualified nurses and midwives

09 Jul 2014

National Board seeks qualified and experienced parties to explore requirements for assessing internationally qualified nurses and midwives.

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (National Board) is seeking suitably qualified and experienced parties to explore requirements for assessing internationally qualified nurses and midwives (IQNM) seeking to register to practise in Australia.

This is part of a project to establish an outcomes-based assessment of an IQNM’s competence to practice, with a view to enhancing the current system of assessing foreign credentials in line with Australian educational standards.

The project takes a phased approach covered in detail in the request for tender document.

The closing date for formal responses/bids to the Request for Tender (RFT) as per details in the RFT document is 2pm AEST Monday 11 August 2014.

For further information regarding the tender documents, please contact Dr Jocelyn Small, Programme Manager, Nursing and Midwifery, National Board Services at nmbafeedback@ahpra.gov.au.
