National Board invites participants to focus groups to explore potential models of supervision for privately practising midwives.
The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (National Board) has engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to manage a project on potential models of supervision for privately practising midwives (PPMs).
PwC is inviting interested parties to attend focus groups running in June and July 2014.
Due to demand we are offering two additional sessions: one in Darwin and one in Hobart – venues still being confirmed but will include a video conference option. See our previous announcement on the National Board website.
Places in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne are filling quickly so please RSVP if you have not already done so if you are looking to attend.
Survey option: For those unable to attend a focus group or would like to provide further input, an online survey is available during the months of June and July. The survey questions are the same as those covered in the focus groups.
Attending a focus group or completing the survey will give you a great opportunity to share with us your feedback and insight into the components which should be incorporated into the potential model(s) of supervision for privately practising midwives.
The focus groups will be held at the PwC offices in two rounds. Each session will run from 10am to 11:30am (except Adelaide and Hobart which will be 2pm – 3.30pm) local time and we will provide morning/afternoon tea.
The dates and locations are as follows:
