National Board invites participants to focus groups to explore potential models of supervision for privately practising midwives.
The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (National Board) has engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to manage a project on potential models of supervision for privately practising midwives (PPMs).
It is important that the perspectives and insights of PPMs are included in the project. We invite all interested parties to attend focus groups running in June and July 2014.
We will hold discussion sessions in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Participants from the ACT and Tasmania can choose to attend sessions in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.
For those who are unable to attend a focus group, an online survey will be available in June and July 2014 and we will publish the link on the National Board website. Material in the survey questions will also be covered in the focus groups.
Attending a focus group or completing the survey will give you a great opportunity to share with us your feedback and insight into the components which should be incorporated into the potential model(s) of supervision for privately practising midwives.
The focus groups will be held at the PwC offices in two rounds. Each session will run from 10am to 11:30am (except Adelaide which will be 2pm – 3.30pm) local time and we will provide morning/afternoon tea.
Dates and locations are as follows:
